OVI – How Our Firm Can Help

Being charged with OVI is serious and Ohio prosecutors are experienced and aggressive in their quest to convict you. Beach & Beane encourages you to drink responsibly, and to call a friend, Uber or Lyft before getting behind the wheel after having even one or two drinks. However, we also understand that as humans, we all make mistakes. It is not “illegal” to drink and drive in Ohio.

Ohio OVI Frequently Asked Questions

While the correct acronym to use is less important than understanding that the charge is a very serious one that you should not face without an attorney, we at Beach & Beane prefer to use the short-hand, “OVI,” for “Operating a Vehicle while Impaired.” In sum, to be convicted in Ohio of the charge, the State is required to show exactly that: you operated a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, or a combination of both.
